Man who altered ID card to take exam on behalf of others received 100 million VND.

Van Duc Thai confessed to using a forged identity card to take the exams on behalf of candidate Truong Quoc Cuong. If he passed the three subjects of Mathematics, Physics, and English, Thai would receive 100 million VND.

The police in Muong Thanh ward, Dien Bien Phu city, are currently detaining Van Duc Thai (25 years old), residing in Nghi Kieu commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province, for cheating in the 2017 National High School Graduation Examination.

At the police station, Van Duc Thai initially confessed to using a forged ID card to take the exams on behalf of Truong Quoc Cuong (23 years old), residing in Lai Xuan commune, Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city. If Cuong passed the three subjects of Mathematics, Physics, and English, Van Duc Thai would receive 100 million VND.

At approximately 2:30 PM on June 22nd, when Van Duc Thai arrived to take the Math exam on behalf of someone else in exam room 43 at the Dien Bien Phu City High School exam center in Dien Bien province, he was discovered by the exam invigilators. A report was filed and he was handed over to the Muong Thanh Ward Police Station in Dien Bien Phu City.

The case is currently under investigation by the police.
