While media attention was focused on CES 2017, Subaru decided to unveil the 2018 WRX and WRX STI high-performance models in the US market. These two high-performance vehicles are expected to go on sale in the US this spring. |

In the 2018 version, the Subaru WRX and WRX STI received a new bumper with larger air intakes and a more prominent grille. Both also feature redesigned LED headlights that can illuminate corners. The 2018 Subaru WRX and WRX STI also have roof rails for attaching roof racks. |

The 2018 Subaru WRX (red) is equipped with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder Boxer engine producing a maximum power of 268 horsepower. The engine is paired with all-wheel drive (AWD) and adaptive torque vectoring. A standard 6-speed manual transmission and an optional CVT are also available. |

However, unlike the regular WRX, the 2018 Subaru WRX STI features Driver-Controlled Center Differential (CFD) all-wheel drive, upgraded brakes, and standard 19-inch wheels. This marks the first time the Subaru WRX STI has been equipped with similar wheels. |
