With an on-the-road price starting from just 500 million VND and a payment plan with zero down payment, the VinFast VF 5 is removing all financial barriers, making it easier for Vietnamese customers to own and use a car at minimal cost.

Agile operation, features comparable to the higher segment.

With a listed price of 529 million VND (including battery), the VinFast VF 5 is competitively priced in the A-SUV segment. However, in May 2026, customers can own this electric vehicle at an even more affordable price thanks to a series of promotions.

Specifically, in addition to the government's policy of 100% exemption from registration fees for electric vehicles, the VF 5 is currently receiving a direct 6% discount on the selling price from VinFast through the "Intense for a Green Future" program. Customers switching from gasoline to electric vehicles until May 31st will receive an additional 3% discount. As a result, the actual on-the-road cost of this model is reduced to under 500 million VND.

The VF 5 is therefore creating a clear competitive advantage in terms of on-the-road price compared to other internal combustion engine models in the same segment.

Compared to electric vehicles, customers buying gasoline or diesel cars have to pay tens of millions of VND more in registration fees (10-12% of the car price depending on the registration area). Currently, the on-the-road price of gasoline A-SUV models ranges around 600 million VND, a difference of hundreds of millions of VND compared to the VF 5.

In addition, VinFast is implementing an installment payment policy with 0 down payment, accompanied by a fixed interest rate of 7% per year for the first 3 years (replacing the direct preferential rate of 6%), thereby making it even easier for users to access the VF 5.

This financial policy is considered an effective support solution for customers with limited savings, as well as service drivers who need to optimize their cash flow when investing in vehicles.

Notably, despite its very affordable price, the VF 5 boasts significantly more impressive performance than its gasoline-powered competitors in the same segment. This fact has been verified by numerous automotive industry experts.

“The real value of the VF 5 lies in its agility and superior performance compared to similarly sized gasoline cars like the Toyota Raize or Kia Sonet. The car can achieve maximum torque from the very first RPM, providing the momentum for acceleration and decisive overtaking both in the city and on the highway.”Reviewer Kenz Nguyen (GearUpVN) frankly commented after driving the VF 5. This reviewer also highly praised the VF 5's suspension system.

In addition, the modern interior with two electronic screens, air conditioning with integrated PM 2.5 air filter, and features such as cruise control, blind spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert are positive points he mentioned while sitting in the cockpit of the VF 5. These are high-end features usually only found in higher segments.

When driving, all you have to worry about is… the car wash fee.

The car only needs servicing once every 15,000 km.

Having already benefited from the purchase price, buyers of VinFast electric vehicles in general, and the VF 5 in particular, are now also enjoying lower operating costs thanks to the free charging policy.

The Vietnamese car manufacturer is implementing a zero-charge policy for up to three years for customers owning VinFast electric vehicles until February 10, 2029, with a maximum of 10 charges per month. Drivers operating on the Green SM Platform will receive unlimited free charging during this period. This is considered a practical support measure for users amidst rising living costs.

Furthermore, VF 5 owners can save a significant amount on maintenance costs because electric vehicles have a simple design, requiring no oil changes, and eliminating concerns about spark plugs, belts, or other complex wear and tear components found in internal combustion engines.

This "double savings" advantage is what motivated Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung (Hanoi) to buy a VF 5 to serve his transportation business. He believes that with his high frequency of vehicle use for work, electric vehicles are currently the best option.

“Thanks to VinFast's free charging service, I barely spend any money on my motorbike except for car washes. I only get it serviced once every 15,000 km, costing just 560,000 VND. On average, I drive at least 150 km a day, so I only need to get it serviced every 3-4 months. That's an average of only about 200,000 VND per month.”, Mr. Hung shared.

Furthermore, the VinFast VF 5 comes with a warranty of up to 7 years for the vehicle and 8 years for the battery, significantly longer than the average for gasoline-powered models in the same segment, which typically range from 3-5 years. In addition, a network of over 400 service centers and 150,000 charging ports nationwide provides peace of mind for customers during the long-term use of the electric vehicle.

According to experts, the VF 5 possesses many features suitable for young first-time car buyers as well as service drivers, including an accessible price, low operating costs, a full range of technological features, and proven durability. This is also the reason why the Vietnamese model has maintained its position as the "national car" leading the A-SUV segment for many months.
