If the triangular glass is removed from the vehicle, the A-pillar will become larger. The obscured A-pillar will then obstruct the driver's view, making it difficult to observe the blind spots on the left and right through the front windshield.

The triangular window design dates back to 1950. At that time, the triangular window served as a small vent to draw air in and out of the cabin. This type of window was very common until air conditioning came along.
