Multiple-vehicle accident causes 3km traffic jam in Nam Dan.

(Baonghean.vn) - At approximately 10:00 AM on January 31st, a multi-vehicle collision involving four cars occurred at Km 30+800 on National Highway 46 in Xuan Hoa commune, Nam Dan district, causing a prolonged traffic jam.

Accordingly, a chain collision occurred involving four cars: 37A - 353.xx, 37S - 616x, 36B - 000.xx, and 37A - 960.xx, all traveling in the same direction from Vinh to Nam Dan. The collision caused significant damage to the front of car 37A - 060.79xx. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the accident.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the collision, said that her group of three vehicles were returning to their hometown in Thanh Chuong when, while driving normally, the vehicle in front suddenly braked sharply and reversed, causing a chain-reaction collision.

The accident occurred at a time when there was heavy traffic, causing a long traffic jam on National Highway 46 through Xuan Hoa commune.

Upon receiving the report, the traffic police force of Nam Dan district promptly arrived to direct and regulate traffic, prevent congestion, and resolve the incident.

The cause is currently under investigation.
