Detained the owner of the swindling club who appropriated more than 100 billion VND
After a period of organizing and leading the hui, Le Thi Lai opened many more hui chains and could not balance the revenue and expenditure, leading to losses and embezzlement of more than 100 billion VND.
On September 19, the Investigation Police Agency of Binh Thuan Province Police has just issued a decision to prosecute and execute an arrest warrant to temporarily detain Le Thi Lai (60 years old, residing in Ham Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan province) to investigate the act of Fraudulent appropriation of property.

According to the investigation, since 2005, Le Thi Lai has organized hui games with many people, mainly monthly hui games. At first, the hui games were played normally, because the number of participants was small, so Lai collected and paid the hui money in full to the players. Trusting her, the number of hui players coming to this person increased day by day.
By 2017, based on the number of hui members registered to play, Lai opened many more hui chains at the same time. However, this woman did not balance the collection and payment of hui money to the hui members, leading to losses and insolvency.
During the verification and investigation process based on the people's complaint, the investigation agency determined that on November 5, 2020, Lai organized a hui chain (1 million VND/month type) for 937 players with a total of 19,043 hui shares.
After this hui chain operated for a while, although no one wanted to sell the hui, Lai provided false information and then sold it to 295 people with a total of 15,671 shares (each share was 10 million VND), earning more than 156 billion VND.
On January 22, 2022, the above hui chain expired. Lai used part of the previous hui sale money to pay interest to some hui members and the hui stack money (final hui collection) of 2020.
The remaining amount of embezzled money was used by Lai to pay off the principal and interest of the newly opened savings association and old savings associations from previous years, and to borrow money due to losses and deficits.
Based on the documents compared, the investigation agency determined that with the hui chain opened on November 5, Lai had appropriated a total amount of more than 100 billion VND from 167 hui players.
