Upon discovering evidence of the illegal use of food additives, authorities seized 38,000 sausages for investigation and verification.

On April 20th, Market Management Team No. 14 (Hanoi City Market Management Department) conducted an inspection of the business premises of Hung Anh Food Trading Co., Ltd., managed by Mr. Nguyen Viet Xuan, with its registered business address at Vinh Hung Street, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi.

38,000 sausages were seized due to suspected use of illegal food additives.

During the inspection, authorities discovered that the establishment was selling sausages. These sausages were produced by a Vietnamese food processing and trading company located at Lo O Hamlet, An Tay Commune, Ben Cat District, Binh Duong Province.

Initial verification revealed that all sausages at Mr. Xuan's business had invoices and supporting documents, but showed signs of using food additives that were not in accordance with the regulations stipulated in Circular 27/2012 of the Ministry of Health. Therefore, Market Management Team No. 14 temporarily seized over two tons of sausages, equivalent to 38,000 sausages, suspected of violating regulations, for further investigation.

According to Mr. Xuan's confession, the establishment had been operating for two years, distributing sausage products to northern provinces, small businesses, and street vendors.
