Four suspects detained in case of slashing Mobile Police officer
Four suspects involved in the case of disturbing public order at a drug rehabilitation facility and slashing a Mobile Police officer have just been detained for investigation and processing.
On August 18, Hai Phong City Police announced that the City Police Investigation Agency decided to temporarily detain 4 suspects related to the case.disturbing public order, slashing of a Mobile Police officer occurred at the gate of Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 1, Bach Dang Ward (Hai Phong).

Initial investigation results determined that at around 8:57 a.m. on August 17, at the gate of Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 1, Bach Dang Ward (Hai Phong), a number of young men appeared. Among them was Pham Van Truong (born in 1993, residing in Phu Luu 2 Village, Viet Khe Commune, Hai Phong City) who gathered, carried banners, and live-streamed on social networks, causing insecurity and disorder.
While on a mission to propagate and guide at the gate of Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 1, an officer of the Target Protection Police Team - Mobile Police Department of the City Police was slashed with a knife by Pham Van Truong, causing injury to his hand.
Upon receiving the news, Colonel Bui Trung Thanh - Deputy Director, Head of the City Police Department of Investigation, directed the Criminal Police Department to concentrate forces to coordinate with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Bach Dang Ward Police and Viet Khe Commune Police to immediately arrest Pham Van Truong and at the same time pursue the remaining suspects.
During the investigation and verification process, the authorities deployed synchronous professional measures. After more than 3 hours, the city police arrested the remaining 3 suspects: Vu Huu Cuong (born in 1995, in Viet Khe commune, Hai Phong city); Do Thanh Dat (born in 2004, in Viet Khe commune, Hai Phong city) and Tran Ngoc Tan (born in 2004, in Luu Kiem ward, Hai Phong city).
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Phong City Police has issued a decision to temporarily detain the above 4 suspects for further investigation and handling.
