Nine people involved in the incident where two groups of young men fought with weapons, injuring passersby, have been prosecuted for "Disturbing public order".
On October 13, Yen Phong District Police, Bac Ninh Province, announced that they had just issued a decision to prosecute the case, temporarily detain 9 young men, and continue to consolidate the case file to investigate the crime of "Disturbing public order".

On the evening of October 9, a video was circulated on several social media platforms recording a group of teenagers riding motorbikes, shouting, swerving, and carrying weapons, causing trouble on several roads in Yen Phong Industrial Park, injuring a passerby.
In the clip, a group of young men holding sharp knives and tubes broke into an ice cream shop in Ap Don village, Yen Trung commune at around 9 p.m. on October 5, looking for a group of young men from Cho town to resolve a conflict. At that time, the shop was very crowded.
Upon receiving the information, Yen Phong District Police (Bac Ninh) directed the Criminal Police Team to coordinate with Yen Phong I Industrial Park Police Station to increase forces and urgently verify the case for handling.
On October 10, the authorities summoned 20 people for investigation. At the same time, 2 motorbikes and all the weapons were confiscated.
At the police station, the two groups of young men confessed that their conflict originated from social media, leading to an appointment to resolve it. The group of young men from Yen Trung commune paid for iron pipes and sharp knives, welded them into 4 pig-stabbing knives with long iron pipes attached to them to attack the group of young men from Cho town.
When a group of young men from Cho town were sitting at an ice cream shop, they saw Yen Trung's group passing by and threw bricks. Yen Trung's group immediately turned around, holding iron pipes welded with pig-stabbing knives, and chased them to get revenge.
The group of young people were mainly born between 2008 and 2010, living in Yen Phong district. Many of them are still students. Notably, in the group, there are 2 young people who were just sentenced by the Yen Phong District People's Court to 16 and 18 months of suspended sentences for "disturbing public order" on August 28; 2 young people were just administratively punished for disturbing public order and intentionally causing injury.
