Authorities detained a group of women for gambling over 1 billion VND.

Knowing she couldn't escape punishment, the "lady" turned herself in and revealed the names of the other individuals involved in the gambling.

On the afternoon of July 26th, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Bu Gia Map District Police (Binh Phuoc province) announced that Nguyen Thi Thuy (59 years old, residing in Phuoc An village, Binh Tan commune, Phu Rieng district) had surrendered to the police for gambling offenses.

At the police station, Thuy initially confessed to having recorded lottery bets for money with Le Thi Thanh (51 years old), Vo Thi Tam (43 years old), Dinh Thi Tien (47 years old), Bui Thi Ket (63 years old), Bui Thi Lan (30 years old, all residing in Binh Tan commune, Phu Rieng district) and several other individuals named Sen and Lan (whose identities and backgrounds are unknown), with a total amount exceeding one billion VND.

The Phu Rieng District Police have seized the evidence and issued a temporary detention order against Tam and Thuy for verification, investigation, and clarification of their actions. The other suspects have been released on bail to their families for further processing according to regulations.
