Attack on highway toll station, robbery of hundreds of millions of dong.
On the morning of the third day of the Lunar New Year, two young men, armed with machetes and an object resembling a gun, attacked and incapacitated a toll booth employee in Dong Nai province.

At 7:30 AM on February 7th, two young men wearing black jackets, masks, and sneakers, armed with guns and machetes, stormed into the toll station of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway in Xuan Thanh commune, Thong Nhat district (Dong Nai province).
They knocked out and threatened the staff, then took hundreds of millions of dong from the safe and put it into a backpack. The two robbers then sped away on a motorbike towards Highway 25, Thong Nhat District, and escaped.

A representative from Vietnam Expressway Technical Services Joint Stock Company (VEC) stated that they are working with the investigating authorities and that information related to the robbery will be released later.
Dong Nai police are examining the crime scene and reviewing security camera footage from the toll station and the entire surrounding area to track down the robbers.
