(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, in Tan Ky district, floodwaters are receding but quite slowly, the whole district still has nearly 1,000 households flooded. Many villages and hamlets are still isolated, local authorities are focusing on overcoming the consequences of floods, soon stabilizing people's lives.

According to the reporter's records, currently, some places in the areaTan Ky districtThe water has receded, however, many villages and hamlets are still isolated. Arriving at Ky Tan commune, we saw that the road to the commune People's Committee headquarters was still quite flooded, vehicles could not pass through.
Mr. Trinh Huy Toan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Tan commune said: The commune has 7 hamlets, currently 4 hamlets (360 households) are flooded. Since October 2, the commune has mobilized organizations to help people evacuate to safe places, support gifts, transfer food and provisions to supply people in deep flooded areas.

Mr. Phan Van Giap - Chairman of Tan Ky District People's Committee added: Currently, the whole district still has 4 communes with affected hamlets.flooded, divided, including the communes of Ky Tan, Nghia Dung, Tan Huong, Huong Son, with nearly 1,000 households being flooded. The district is continuing to mobilize forces, using canoes to supply necessities to the People's Committees of deeply flooded communes, mainly banh chung, instant noodles, clean water..., then the commune will use bamboo boats to transport the supplies to households.

For communes with receding water levels such as Ky Son, Tan Long, and Nghia Hoan, the local authorities have mobilized local forces and organizations to help people move their belongings back home. Up to this point, 300 out of 708 households in the district have returned home. Currently, for flooded roads, the district has directed communes to arrange guards and prohibit people from passing through; landslide sites in Tan Ky town and Ky Son commune have evacuated 5 households to safety.
