(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, floodwaters are receding slowly in Tan Ky district, and nearly 1,000 households remain flooded. Many villages and hamlets are still isolated, and local authorities are focusing their efforts on overcoming the consequences of the floods and restoring normal life for the people as soon as possible.

According to our reporter's observations, currently in some areas of the region,Tan Ky districtThe floodwaters have receded, however, many villages and hamlets remain isolated. Upon arriving in Ky Tan commune, we observed that the road leading to the commune's People's Committee headquarters was still quite deeply flooded, making it impassable for vehicles.

Mr. Trinh Huy Toan, Chairman of the Ky Tan Commune People's Committee, said: The commune has 7 hamlets, and currently 4 hamlets (360 households) are flooded. Since October 2nd, the commune has mobilized various organizations to help people relocate to safe areas, provide gifts, and deliver food and supplies to residents in deeply flooded areas.

Mr. Phan Van Giap, Chairman of the Tan Ky District People's Committee, added: Currently, the entire district still has 4 communes with hamlets affected.flooded, cut off.The district, encompassing the communes of Ky Tan, Nghia Dung, Tan Huong, and Huong Son, has nearly 1,000 households currently affected by flooding. The district is continuing to mobilize forces and use canoes to deliver essential supplies to the People's Committees of the deeply flooded communes, mainly sticky rice cakes, instant noodles, and clean water. The communes will then use small boats to transport the supplies to the affected households.

For communes where floodwaters are receding, such as Ky Son, Tan Long, and Nghia Hoan, local authorities are mobilizing forces and organizations to help residents move their belongings back home. As of now, 300 out of 708 households in the district have returned home. Currently, for flooded roads, the district is directing communes to deploy guards and prohibit people from passing through; five households have been evacuated to safe locations due to landslides in Tan Ky town and Ky Son commune.
