Tan Ky: 21 gifts distributed at the launch ceremony of Workers' Month.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 4th, at the Tan Ky Tunnel Brick and Tile Factory, the Tan Ky District Labor Union organized the launching ceremony for the Workers' Month and the "Golden Hands Brickmaking" competition in 2017.

This year's Workers' Month launch ceremony, themed "For the Benefit of Union Members," aims to widely promote mass movements among workers at all levels, sectors, organizations, and individuals engaged in production and business activities across all economic sectors to comply with labor laws; to focus on caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers; to strengthen union membership development and build strong trade union organizations; to disseminate and implement the Trade Union Law, the Labor Code, and the Social Insurance Law; to ensure occupational safety and health and fire safety; to prevent and control occupational accidents and diseases; and to protect the lives and health of workers, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks.

At the launching ceremony, the District Labor Union presented 15 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to poor workers and their children. On this occasion, Tam Tai Construction and Transportation Joint Stock Company also presented 6 gifts, totaling 3 million VND, to outstanding workers who have made significant contributions to the company.

Immediately following the launching ceremony, the "Golden Hands of Brickmaking" competition in 2017 took place. The competition attracted 12 workers divided into 3 teams – Chien Thang, Hop Luc, and Dong Tam – from various brick factory trade unions, competing in two categories: unloading raw bricks from conveyor belts onto wagons and loading finished bricks from wagons onto boats for transport to the collection point.

The launching ceremony aims to awaken and promote the traditions of the Vietnamese working class in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country. This is a model launching ceremony for grassroots trade unions to learn from and implement in their own units later.
