Tan Ky: Presenting 21 gifts at the launching ceremony of Workers' Month

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 4, at Tuynel Tan Ky Brick and Tile Factory, Tan Ky District Labor Federation held a ceremony to launch Workers' Month and the "Golden Hands of Brick Making" Contest 2017.

The launching ceremony of this year's Workers' Month has the theme "For the benefit of union members", aiming to widely mobilize the mass movement and workers at all levels, sectors, organizations and individuals engaged in production and business activities in all economic sectors to comply with the provisions of the law on labor; Focus on caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers; Promote the development of union members and build strong trade union organizations; Propagate and implement the Trade Union Law, the Labor Code, the Social Insurance Law; Ensure occupational safety and hygiene and fire safety; prevent and combat occupational accidents and diseases; protect the lives and health of workers, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks.

At the launching ceremony, the District Labor Federation presented 15 gifts, each worth VND500,000, to workers and their children. On this occasion, Tam Tai Construction and Transport Joint Stock Company also presented 6 gifts, worth VND3 million in total, to excellent workers who have made many contributions to the company.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the 2017 "Golden Hands of Brick Making" Competition took place. The competition attracted 12 workers divided into 3 teams: Chien Thang, Hop Luc and Dong Tam from brick factory unions competing in 2 events: Loading raw bricks from the conveyor belt to the mound and loading commercial bricks from the mound to transport to the assembly location.

Through the launching ceremony, the tradition of the Vietnamese working class is aroused and promoted in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country. This is a model launching ceremony for grassroots trade unions to learn and implement in their units in the future./.
