(Baonghean.vn) - From the beginning of 2015 until now, Tan Ky district has established an inter-agency team, including the District Police, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Department of Industry and Trade, to inspect and handle 6 cases of illegal mineral exploitation (mainly illegal sand mining).

During the inspection, fines totaling 42 million VND were imposed, and 8 generators, 8 sieves, and 10 suction pipes were temporarily seized. Two generators were confiscated. The Tan Ky District People's Committee also strengthened measures to protect unlicensed mineral resources, such as: barricading mine access roads, assigning responsibility for management and protection to each locality, and holding the chairman of the People's Committee of the commune responsible if illegal mining occurs in any locality.
