Strengthening coordination to combat climate change

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 28th,The Department of Natural Resources and Environment, in collaboration with the Northern Central Region Meteorological and Hydrological Station.Signed the Regulations on Coordination in the fields of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change in Nghe An province.

Over the years, the North Central Meteorological and Hydrological Station has actively fulfilled its assigned functions and tasks in forecasting weather conditions in Nghe An province, thereby minimizing damage caused by natural disasters in the province.

To enhance coordination between the two agencies in the fields of meteorology, hydrology, and climate change in Nghe An province, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the North Central Meteorological and Hydrological Station signed a cooperation agreement.

Representatives from the two units signed a cooperation agreement on meteorology, hydrology, and climate change in Nghe An province.

According to the Regulations, the two sides will cooperate on the following contents: Disseminating legal information; Exchanging relevant information and documents, coordinating state management in the field of meteorology and hydrology; Coordinating the implementation of programs, plans, projects, and scientific research topics in the field of meteorology and hydrology; Coordinating the development of data and reporting systems in the field of meteorology and hydrology, and coordinating in inspection and supervision work. At the same time, the leaders of both sides also agreed to assign two focal units to implement the Regulations: the Department of Meteorology, Hydrology & Climate Change and the Nghe An Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station.

At the ceremony, delegates also shared many opinions on the relevant work contents of the two agencies and hoped that the implementation of the Coordination Regulations would contribute to helping the two agencies, the Nghe An Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the North Central Region Meteorological and Hydrological Station, successfully fulfill their political tasks in the fields of meteorology, hydrology, and climate change.

Technical staff at the North Central Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Station conduct daily meteorological observations.

According to this regulation, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Northern Central Region Meteorological and Hydrological Station annually evaluate the results of the implementation of this coordination regulation.
