(Baonghean.vn) - Due to increased water inflow into the reservoirs, the Ban Ang hydropower plant in Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district, and the Nam Mo hydropower plant in Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district, are expected to increase water discharge from 12:15 PM today, October 2nd.

At 8:20 AM, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received notification No. 08/TB-NMNN dated October 2, 2022, from Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company regarding the increase in water discharge from Ban Ang and Nam Mo hydropower reservoirs due to the increasing inflow into the reservoirs.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from the Ban Ang hydropower reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and multi-reservoir discharge procedures on the Ca River basin, and taking into account the hydrological conditions at the site, Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company plans to increase the water discharge flow from the Ban Ang hydropower reservoir as follows:

1.Expected time for increasing water discharge rate:12:15 PM, October 2nd, 2022.

2.Discharge rate:The total expected discharge volume is approximately 500 m³.3/s up to 1,000 m3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and generator units).

3.Expected time for water discharge through the spillway to end:Until the water inflow into the reservoir drops below 189.6 m.3/S.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from the Nam Mo hydropower reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and multi-reservoir discharge procedures on the Ca River basin, Nghe An Energy Development Corporation plans to increase the water discharge flow from the Nam Mo hydropower reservoir as follows:

1. Expected time for increasing water discharge rate:12:00 PM, date

October 2, 2022.

2. Discharge rate:The total expected discharge volume is approximately 500 m³.3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and generator units).

3. Expected time for water discharge through the spillway to end:Until the water inflow into the reservoir drops below 140 m.3/S.

The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense hereby informs: the People's Committee of Tuong Duong District and the Heads of provincial departments, agencies, and the Road Management Department 2 to notify all levels of government, agencies, units, investors currently constructing along and on the river, owners of water transport vehicles, and all people in the downstream areas of the Ban Ang and Nam Mo Hydropower Plants to implement necessary measures to ensure the safety of lives and property of the State and the people.
