Starting at 10 PM tonight, July 30th, the Nam Mo hydroelectric reservoir is expected to increase the water discharge through the spillway gates and power generation units.

At 6:23 PM, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 03/2024/TB-EDCNA dated July 30, 2024, from Nam Mo - Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company.

According to hydrological information from Laos, at 6:00 PM on July 30, 2024, the water inflow into the Nam Mo hydroelectric reservoir reached approximately 300 cubic meters.3/s and is expected to continue rising to 500m3/s in the following hours.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from the Nam Mo hydropower reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and multi-reservoir discharge procedures on the Ca River basin of Nam Mo - Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company; based on the hydrological situation at the site, the planned increase in water discharge from the Nam Mo hydropower reservoir is as follows:

Expected time for water release through the spillway:22:00, July 30, 2024.
Discharge rate:
The total expected discharge volume is approximately 500m³.3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and generator units).
Expected time for water discharge through the spillway to end:
Until the water inflow into the reservoir drops below 140m.3/S.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense hereby informs the People's Committee of Ky Son District and the heads of provincial departments, agencies, and the Road Management Area 2; to notify all levels of government, agencies, units, investors currently constructing along and on the river, owners of water transport vehicles, and all people in the downstream area of ​​the Nam Mo Hydropower Plant to implement necessary measures to ensure the safety of lives and property of the State and the people.
