About 7 km from the center of Na Ngoi border commune (Kỳ Sơn district) is Tang Phan village, home to 106 Thai ethnic households. Right at the beginning of the village is a vast expanse of terraced rice paddies. At this time of year, the rice crop here is lush green, and with a self-flowing irrigation system, the rice plants are thriving. Although the poverty rate in the village is still over 60%, Tang Phan remains the most economically prosperous village in this border commune.
