Giving gifts to poor students in Tru Son and Dai Son communes.
(Baonghean.vn) - On May 8th, the Military Command of Do Luong district visited and presented gifts to underprivileged students who excelled in their studies in Tru Son and Dai Son communes.
At Tru Son Secondary School, the delegation presented two bicycles worth 3 million VND to Nguyen Dinh Nam, a 6th-grade student who is fatherless, and Duong Thi Binh, a 7th-grade student who is motherless and lives with her maternal grandparents. Both students come from very difficult family circumstances but still strive to study well and are currently students in the advanced classes at Tru Son Secondary School.

In Dai Son commune, the District Military Command visited and presented bicycles to the following children: Hoang Van Diep from Hamlet 6, who is in difficult circumstances (his mother works far away and he is currently living with his grandparents, both over 75 years old); and the two siblings Pham Xuan Anh and Pham Thi Minh from Hamlet 5, whose parents divorced and whose mother left home many years ago. Currently, the two children are studying at Dai Son Primary School but have to earn a living to support themselves while studying and caring for their grandmother, who has been seriously ill and bedridden for the past two years. The District Military Command donated bicycles and provided the children with 20kg of rice.
The money and gifts donated were collected monthly by officers and soldiers of the Do Luong District Military Command to help and support poor students. This is a practical action in line with the spirit of Directive 05 of the Politburo on studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh.
