(Baonghean.vn) - On May 8, the Military Command of Do Luong district visited and gave gifts to poor students who overcame difficulties to study well in Tru Son and Dai Son communes.

At Tru Son Secondary School, the delegation presented two bicycles worth 3 million VND to Nguyen Dinh Nam - a 6A student, orphaned by his father, and Duong Thi Binh - a 7B student, orphaned by her mother and living with her grandparents. Both students have very difficult family circumstances, but still strive to study well, and are currently both students in the gifted class of Tru Son Secondary School.

In Dai Son commune, the District Military Command visited and gave bicycles to the following children: Hoang Van Diep from hamlet 6, who is in difficult circumstances (his mother works far away and is currently living with his grandparents who are over 75 years old); two siblings Pham Xuan Anh and Pham Thi Minh from hamlet 5, whose parents are divorced, and whose mother has also left home for many years without returning. Currently, the two children are studying at Dai Son Primary School but have to earn a living to both study and take care of their grandmother, who is seriously ill and has been bedridden for 2 years. The District Military Command gave bicycles and supported the children with 20kg of rice.

The money and gifts were donated by officers and soldiers of the Do Luong District Military Command to help support poor students. This is a practical action in the spirit of Directive 05 of the Politburo on studying and following the ideology, morality and lifestyle of Ho Chi Minh.
