Giving Tet gifts to poor students

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 17, units and localities continued to give Tet gifts to the poor and policy beneficiaries on the occasion of the Dinh Dau New Year.

* SHINHAN Bank Vietnam in cooperation with Nghe An Province Children's Support Fundpresented 100 gifts to disadvantaged students of Thanh Hoa Primary School, Thanh Chuong District.

The gifts include school supplies, school bags... each worth 500,000 VND. The total value is 50 million VND.

At the gift giving ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huu Minh - Director of Nghe An Province Children's Support Fund shared: "Although the gifts are not of great material value, they are meaningful in encouraging the spirit and motivating the children to overcome difficult circumstances and excel in their studies and life."

On this occasion, the Association of Fellow Countrymen presented 3 gifts to individuals in special circumstances, including: Dinh Thi Hang in Thanh Thuy commune 200 Euro, Luu Thi Nhung in Thanh Tung commune 430 Euro and 5.2 million VND; Duong Thi Ha Nhi in Hoa Lien hamlet, Thanh Hoa commune 400 Euro and 1.2 million VND. The total amount is equivalent to 31 million VND.

This is a gift from Thanh Chuong's children far away from home, looking back to their homeland to help and encourage those in especially difficult circumstances, to make Tet more cozy when Spring comes./.
