Giving Tet gifts to poor students in the year of the Rooster (2017).

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 17th, units and localities continued to distribute Tet gifts to the poor and beneficiaries of social policies during the Lunar New Year of the Rooster.

The gift packages include school supplies, school bags, etc., each worth 500,000 VND. The total value is 50 million VND.

At the gift-giving ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huu Minh, Director of the Nghe An Provincial Children's Protection Fund, shared: "Although the gifts may not have great material value, they are meaningful in encouraging and motivating the children to overcome difficult circumstances and strive for success in their studies and lives."

On this occasion, the Hometown Association presented three gifts to individuals in special circumstances, including: Dinh Thi Hang from Thanh Thuy commune (200 Euros), Luu Thi Nhung from Thanh Tung commune (430 Euros and 5.2 million VND); and Duong Thi Ha Nhi from Hoa Lien hamlet, Thanh Hoa commune (400 Euros and 1.2 million VND). The total amount is equivalent to 31 million VND.

These are gifts from people of Thanh Chuong living far from home, showing their love for their homeland and aiming to help and encourage those in particularly difficult circumstances, making the Lunar New Year more heartwarming.
