The mysterious 21st floor of the world's largest hotel.
No one knows why both the elevators and staircases in Tower 1 of the famous Genting Hotel (Malaysia) go straight from the 20th floor to the 22nd floor.
Located on Genting Highlands, about 50 km from Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), the First World Hotel is known as the world's largest hotel complex, boasting 6,000 rooms and integrating a casino, shopping mall, entertainment area, water park, and more.
This is a fairly familiar and famous destination for foreign tourists, including many Vietnamese tourists who have checked in here. However, inside this massive and magnificent hotel, which houses one of the largest casinos in Asia, there are mysteries that no one has yet been able to solve.

According to Tripzilla, the First World Hotel is listed among the 8 real-life haunted destinations, and Stuff also claims it's one of the most "haunted" hotels in Asia. Specifically, the elevator in Tower 1 inexplicably skips the 21st floor, displaying only the 20th before jumping directly to the 22nd. This has become the source of many ghost stories.
Many passengers tried pressing each floor individually, that is, pressing from floor 19 to floor 20, and after the elevator opened, pressing floor 22 to compare the time and found that the time was the same. Therefore, floor 21 of Tower 1 does not exist. Some passengers even took the stairs to verify and found the same thing: after the floor 20 sign was floor 22.
Some argue that 21 might be an unlucky number, like the Chinese number 4 or the Western number 13. Many tourists visit Genting primarily to gamble, so spiritual beliefs and luck are paramount. However, this isn't the case in Tower 2, which still has a 21st floor, making this hypothesis difficult to support.

Among the rumors surrounding the mysterious 21st floor of First World, the most frequently mentioned is the story of a Chinese prostitute who was murdered and her body hidden under a bed on the 21st floor, but there is no evidence or official news recording this event. In fact, many suicides due to gambling losses have been recorded there, but there are no detailed facts mentioning the 21st floor of Tower 1.
Although there is no basis for this claim, guests staying at this tower are still advised to open the curtains wide, flush the toilet, and turn on all the lights when entering the room, as a form of mental relaxation.
