Rural infrastructure was dilapidated and lacked investment. However, with determination and continuous effort, over time, Tang Thanh commune has made a comprehensive breakthrough in socio-economic development.

Visiting Tang Thanh commune today, we felt the new vitality and strong transformation. The face of the rural area has changed noticeably, and rural infrastructure has been invested in comprehensively to meet standards. To further improve the quality of life for its people, Tang Thanh commune continues to build itself into an advanced new rural commune.

Mr. Dao Van Khai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tang Thanh commune, said: From 2020 to the present, Tang Thanh commune has implemented the construction of an advanced new rural commune, focusing on attracting resources to build infrastructure for socio-economic development. With these efforts, the entire commune has achieved 15 out of 15 criteria for an advanced new rural commune to date.

A prominent feature of Tang Thanh commune is its comprehensively invested infrastructure. The main roads, village roads, and alleyways are widely paved with asphalt and concrete, making travel and service development convenient for residents. Many new irrigation and drainage canals have also been constructed.

Specifically, regarding cultural and cultural infrastructure criteria, the system of cultural centers or multi-functional halls and sports fields serving cultural and sports activities in all 7/7 hamlets/communes have cultural and sports facilities that meet the standards prescribed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Decision No. 97/2014/UBND dated December 19, 2014 of the Provincial People's Committee.

Specifically, all these areas are meticulously planned, covering over 3,000 square meters, and include multi-functional buildings, playgrounds, training grounds, and auxiliary facilities. These include a football field, two volleyball courts, an outdoor fitness and sports area for the elderly, landscaped gardens, flagpoles, and lighting. Currently, the commune is constructing a new kindergarten and 12 classrooms for the primary school. In 2021, the commune will continue to complete the canal system, build a new market (over 30 billion VND), and a multi-functional community center (15 billion VND)…

Tang Thanh commune focuses on improving income levels and enhancing the material and spiritual lives of its people. The commune attracts all resources for economic development. In the agricultural sector, the commune applies science and technology to production, improving quality and efficiency. Concentrated production methods such as farms, family farms, and the production of high-quality rice varieties for commercial purposes, along with linkages, generate high incomes, and some new crops are proving effective.

In the commune, there is a model greenhouse for growing cantaloupe and high-tech vegetables owned by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhu in Hamlet 2, covering an area of ​​1,500 m².²A drip irrigation system combined with mixed fertilizer application has been installed… In the future, this model will be expanded to 2.7 hectares. Producing clean mushrooms brings high income. Livestock farming is developing towards commodity production, diversifying livestock and poultry in a semi-industrial and household farming manner.

Tang Thanh commune has also promoted the development of small-scale industries, construction, and service-trade sectors, which have seen rapid and diverse growth, meeting the needs of production and daily life. The commune has also focused on implementing the "Labor Export and Job Creation" project, with hundreds of people currently working abroad, bringing in significant income annually. As a result, the average per capita income of Tang Thanh commune is steadily increasing, reaching 52.281 million VND/person/year in 2021.

Strive to develop Tang Thanh commune to achieve advanced new rural commune status according to the planned schedule. Specifically, in December 2021, Tang Thanh commune aims to complete the dossier for submission to the province for assessment.The village has recently been upgraded.
