(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 2nd, the delegation of National Assembly deputies from Nghe An province, including Mr. Tran Van Hang - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai, a teacher at Ky Tan Primary School, Tan Ky district, met with voters in Chau Quang commune, Quy Hop district.

On behalf of the National Assembly delegation, Mr. Tran Van Hang informed the voters about the main contents of the 10th session of the 13th National Assembly.

Voters also raised several issues that need attention and resolution. For example, in Quang Huong hamlet, Ban Banh, Dong Huong, nearly 300 households with over 1,000 people are listed as Thanh ethnic in their personal records, but the Thanh ethnic group is not included in the Vietnamese ethnic group of 54. This causes many difficulties and affects the rights of the people. They requested that the National Assembly and relevant authorities consider amending their personal records to change their ethnicity from Thanh to Thai to ensure they receive the same rights as other ethnic groups.

Voters also reported that the villages of Bản Lè and Bản Ạng are currently experiencing severe landslides, encroaching on residential areas and causing the loss of tens of hectares of land for housing and production. Residents have petitioned numerous times, but no effective solutions have been implemented. Therefore, they request that relevant authorities provide financial assistance to relocate residents to avoid danger and stabilize their lives.

In addition, relevant sectors need to reassess the environmental impact of mineral exploitation. The preferential treatment for people with meritorious service to the revolution in repairing and rebuilding houses is being implemented too slowly. Currently, Chau Quang has 108 households with applications for recognition as having meritorious service to the revolution, but as of the end of 2015, only 7 of them had received support.

Voter Sam Van Loi, from Yen Luom hamlet, Chau Quang commune, Quy Hop district, petitioned the National Assembly representative regarding support for households in landslide-prone areas.

Voters proposed increasing funding for part-time commune-level officials, village heads, deputy village heads, and village/hamlet organizations. A thorough assessment of supply and demand in society is needed to tighten control over university and college training, preventing waste of public funds and human resources. Some retired teachers have not yet received their seniority allowances as stipulated by regulations…

On behalf of the National Assembly delegation, Mr. Tran Van Hang acknowledged the voters' opinions; and also discussed the results of socio-economic development over the past five years, especially in 2015; the situation in the East Sea...

Mr. Tran Van Hang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee, responded to voters' petitions.

In addition, the Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee also addressed the suggestions and proposals of voters in Chau Quang commune; and compiled these suggestions to submit to relevant levels, sectors, and the National Assembly for consideration and resolution in the future.
