Tao Son (Anh Son) receives certificate recognizing it as a new-style rural area.

(Baonghean.vn) - On March 19th, Tao Son commune in Anh Son district received the certificate recognizing it as a new rural area and the certificate recognizing its school as meeting national standards at level 1.

Over the past five years, infrastructure development in the commune has yielded significant results, including the construction of a commune office and auxiliary facilities within the premises; the construction of a rural market; the construction of over 22 km of concrete roads; and the hardening of over 27 km of rural roads with gravel.Recognizing that building new rural areas is a crucial task, over the past five years, the commune has prioritized integrating various programs with mobilized capital exceeding 80 billion VND to focus on building socio-economic infrastructure, developing production, increasing people's income, and eradicating poverty.

Regarding economic development, the commune has completed land consolidation and exchange, introducing many high-value crops such as green pumpkins, which yield an income of 200-230 million VND/hectare/year... Thanks to the correct shift in economic structure and the application of science and technology in production, per capita income is always higher each year than the previous year. The average per capita income in 2016 reached 26 million VND/person. The poverty rate is now only 3.5%, while the rate of relatively wealthy households is increasing.

Education, healthcare, and socio-cultural activities have always been given priority and are developing further in the commune.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - acknowledged the achievements of the Party committee, government, and people of Tao Son commune and expressed his hope that in the coming time, the commune will continue to strive to further improve the lives of its people.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee awarded 500 million VND to Tao Son commune for achieving the new rural development goals, and also presented Certificates of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the new rural development movement.

Also at the ceremony, on behalf of the provincial leadership, Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa presented the certificate recognizing Level 1 standard achievement to the teachers and students of Tao Son Commune Kindergarten.
