Forbes magazine has just published a new ranking of 100 Russian officials, businesspeople, corporate leaders, and law enforcement officers. Vladimir Putin takes the top spot.

Also in the top 10 are: Sberbank Chairman German Gref (second place), Gazprom Chairman Alexei Miller, Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin, head of government Dmitry Medvedev, Surgutneftegaz General Director Vladimir Bogdanov, Central Bank Chairwoman Elvira Nabiullina, Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov, Russian Railways General Director Oleg Belozyorov, and LUKOIL Chairman Vagit Alekperov (tenth place).

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov ranked 21st, while Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was in 30th place.

The ranking takes into account criteria such as the number of employees and revenue of the company, its ability to directly influence people's lives, its influence within the industry, and its closeness to the president and the ruling party.
