Local literary magazines must strive for innovation to avoid falling behind.
(Baonghean.vn) - Social realities are undergoing significant changes, and readers' demands are increasingly high, requiring the press, including local literary magazines, to truly "revolutionize" to avoid falling behind and to be able to shoulder the important responsibilities entrusted by the Party, the State, and the People. This was one of the key points emphasized at the scientific conference "Northern Central Literary Magazines - Innovation for Development".

Attending the workshop held on the morning of July 15th in Vinh City were representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, the Department of Culture and Sports, leaders of the Nghe An Provincial Union of Literature and Arts; along with editors-in-chief, deputy editors-in-chief and staff of literary magazines from the North Central provinces.

The workshop is an annual event for magazines in the North Central region, and it plays an important role in promoting the development of Vietnamese literature and art.
This year, with the theme "Innovation for Development," the conference focuses on clearly identifying the opportunities and challenges facing literary magazines in the context of the explosive growth of the Internet, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the trend of digital transformation.
Many insightful and high-quality presentations at the conference revolved around the following topics: the necessity of innovating operational thinking after the press restructuring; the requirements placed on literary magazines in the digital transformation era; and sharing experiences in innovating models and working methods of literary magazine editorial offices to adapt to new requirements.
Therefore, the aim is to unleash the creative potential of young writers; to gather and mobilize a team of capable and enthusiastic collaborators; and thereby improve the quality and effectiveness of literary magazines in the region.

In particular, the workshop provided insightful directions for the operation and development of online magazines, as currently, arts and culture magazines in the North Central region in particular, and the whole country in general, are either just starting out or are still exploring the possibility of building them, so they have very little experience and face many difficulties ahead.

The annual and rotating organization of seminars among literary magazines in North Central Vietnam is a necessary and useful professional activity, helping magazines share, learn from each other's experiences, and support each other, especially at a time when local literary magazines still face many difficulties in their development orientation.
