At the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year, General Secretary To Lam emphasized: “Education must become a key driving force for national development, with particular attention paid to the nutrition and physical well-being of the younger generation. No child should be left behind.” On the same day, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son also affirmed that Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo is a “new revolution in education,” with the aspiration to bring Vietnam into the top 20 education systems in the world by 2045.

That message from General Secretary To Lam and the leader of the country's Education and Training sector is also the concern and desire of the entire society, with the determination and aspiration to form a generation of people who are "both talented, compassionate, and resilient," as the General Secretary said.

"

Education must become a key driving force for national development, with particular emphasis on caring for the nutrition and physical well-being of the younger generation. No child should be left behind.”

General Secretary To Lam

That message also touched the heart of a woman – Labor Hero Thai Huong, founder and Chairwoman of the Strategic Council of TH Group. For many years, not only has TH Group laid a solid foundation for the clean fresh milk revolution and the nutrition revolution for Vietnamese people, but under her leadership, it has also consistently pioneered and actively contributed to caring for school nutrition and the comprehensive development of the nation's young generation.

The mark of humane initiatives and collaborations.

For over 15 years, with the heart and soul of a mother, Labor Hero Thai Huong has persistently pursued the mission of "For the Stature of Vietnam". The TH Group, under her leadership, has pioneered and initiated many programs such as the "National School Milk Program", the "Nutrition for Vietnamese People" project, and the "School Health Program".

Throughout her journey of service and realizing her aspiration to create all-natural products for public health, Ms. Thai Huong has always devoted her heart and soul to her hometown of Nghe An and always wishes to accompany and contribute to school nutrition issues in the province through effective and practical programs and actions.

In the 2013-2014 academic year, TH Group pioneered a community intervention study in Nghe An province, in collaboration with the National Institute of Nutrition - Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Training, and with the advice of international experts.

The program was implemented systematically, and Nghe An was the only locality at that time that used clinically tested products in the program. This provided a practical basis for issuing school milk standards in the "National School Milk Program," through Decision No. 1340/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, contributing to minimizing the supply of milk of unknown origin and not meeting food safety and hygiene standards to schools; and subsequently, Decision No. 1660/QD-TTg approving the School Health Program.

In the 2020-2021 academic year, the Ministry of Education and Training, in collaboration with other ministries and agencies, along with leading independent nutrition experts from around the world and Vietnam, and with the support of TH Group, implemented the "Model of school meals ensuring balanced nutrition combined with enhanced physical activity for children, students, and university students," deployed in 10 provinces and cities across 5 major ecological regions nationwide, including Nghe An.

If children do not receive proper nutrition during the "golden age" (0-12 years old) - the period that determines 86% of their height and 80% of their brain development - then their lifelong development opportunities will be missed.

After one year of implementation, the pilot model has shown outstanding results in improving physical health, reducing malnutrition and overweight, enhancing concentration, discipline, and self-confidence in children. The pilot model is considered a comprehensive and revolutionary solution for improving the stature of Vietnamese people, providing a scientific and practical basis for developing a School Nutrition Law linked to holistic education.

Fresh, clean milk fuels the future.

With the "School Milk Program" in Nghe An, from the 2015-2016 school year to the present, millions of kindergarten and primary school students in the province have benefited from school milk. However, in the short and long term, to ensure continuity and avoid interruptions in children's access to nutritional benefits, as well as to ensure the scientific basis and effectiveness in improving children's physical, intellectual, and stature development, Nghe An needs a plan and implementation mechanism for the "School Meal Program" in the future.

Accordingly, each child/student attending school daily will receive a school meal based on a standard formula from a set of 400 menus developed by experts from the aforementioned pilot model, for parents and schools to refer to and choose from. This meal will include a glass of school milk.

Funding for the program can be implemented through a social mobilization mechanism, including the provincial budget, the support of businesses (including TH Group), and the contributions of parents; students from disadvantaged households and families with revolutionary merit will receive support depending on their circumstances.

This humanitarian program aims to maximize the benefits for children in their prime, serving the development of high-quality human resources for the province and the country.

"

TH Group and other reputable food businesses are ready to support the province's policies on school nutrition, with the hope that Nghe An will become a national model in realizing school nutrition policies.
