ThaiBinh Seed has 12 branches and a nationwide distribution system with abundant human resources, totaling 358 employees. The team of engineers and technical staff at ThaiBinh Seed have many years of experience in the research, selection, and testing of plant varieties.

Currently, ThaiBinh Seed is the first and only science and technology enterprise in Thai Binh province, owning and distributing over 20 copyrighted seed varieties; supplying 15-20% of the agricultural seed production nationwide.

The average growth rate over the past 10 years has been 10-15%. ThaiBinh Seed's nationwide seed production area reaches 62,000 hectares annually; the amount of seeds purchased from farmers reaches 22,000 tons, increasing income and alleviating poverty for farmers, bringing in billions of dong in profits for farmers nationwide each year. In Thai Binh province alone, ThaiBinh Seed's rice varieties account for over 70% of the production structure. Annual revenue reaches nearly 600,000 billion dong, contributing an average of nearly 10 billion dong to the state budget, ensuring an average income of 11 million dong per person per month for its staff and workers.

ThaiBinh Seed currently has two modern seed processing plants with European technology, 100% automation, and a processing capacity of 20,000 tons per year; a drying plant with Japanese technology, fully automated, with a capacity of 120 tons per batch; and a rice processing plant with modern European technology and a processing capacity of 40,000 tons per year. In addition, to meet the requirements of production, business, and seed preservation while ensuring quality, ThaiBinh Seed has invested in building a warehouse system at the seed processing plant with a total area of ​​nearly 3 hectares, modern infrastructure, ensuring a storage capacity of 20,000 tons of rice per year.

In addition, the company also has the first Plant Research Institute in Vietnam, covering 172 hectares with 3 departments: rice breeding research, vegetable breeding, and biotechnology. Every year, it researches, breeds, and tests thousands of rice and vegetable varieties and lines for agricultural production, while also preserving thousands of valuable genes.

ThaiBinh Seed is also the first enterprise to have a National Laboratory with code number Vilas 110 according to ISO/IEC 17025 – 2005 standards. ThaiBinh Seed has implemented three quality management systems: ISO 9001: 2008, ISO/IEC 17025-2005, and TQM, ensuring that ThaiBinh Seed's products meet international quality standards.

Currently, ThaiBinh Seed is a member of the Asia Pacific Seed Association (APSA), the Vietnam Seed Trade Association (VSTA), the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and the Thai Binh Business Association (TBEA). Since 2012, Thai Binh Seed has been a science and technology enterprise. From 2001 to the present, ThaiBinh Seed has led 30 projects and participated in and collaborated on 12 state-level, provincial-level, and sectoral scientific research projects.

Typical varieties developed and selected by ThaiBinh Seed include rice varieties such as: BC15, TBR225, TBR-1, TBR45, TBR36, Dong A1, TBR 279, TBR89, Nep A Sao; glutinous corn varieties TBM18, peanut variety TB25… Varieties under cooperation and exclusive distribution include rice varieties Thai Xuyen 111, CNR36, Phuc Thai 168, QL301, Bac Thom 7 (resistant to bacterial blight), BC15 (containing blast resistance gene); hybrid corn variety VS36….

With these outstanding achievements, ThaiBinh Seed has received numerous prestigious awards: the Third-Class Independence Order, 11 Labor Orders of various types, the Military Merit Order, 10 Certificates of Merit and Emulation Flags from the Government, 3 times awarded Flags and Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, 5 times receiving the Vietnam Quality Award; 3 Golden Star of Vietnam Awards; the title "Friend of the Farmer", 2 Golden Rice Awards of Vietnam, and the Enterprise for Farmers Award.

From 2011-2015, it was one of the 500 fastest-growing businesses in Vietnam. Notably, Mr. Tran Manh Bao – Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and General Director of ThaiBinh Seed Group – was honored with the title of Hero of Labor during the đổi mới (renovation) period.
