In 2018, Con Cuong had one more commune and six villages/hamlets achieving the new rural standard; 24 out of 25 targets were met or exceeded. District budget revenue was estimated at 53.8 billion VND - the highest ever. The growth rate in 2018 was estimated at 8.51% compared to the same period.

Over the past five years, the district has provided employment for more than 1,400 workers. Land clearance for several key projects has yielded very positive results. Services and agriculture have both developed well. The socio-cultural sector is receiving increasing attention. The handling of complaints and denunciations, and dialogue with the people, has been actively implemented.

In particular, the district has consistently paid attention to and gradually reformed its mass mobilization work, effectively leading the implementation of the "Year of Mass Mobilization by the Government"; the sense of responsibility, pioneering role, exemplary conduct, and self-awareness of cadres and party members in the party committee have been enhanced...

At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Con Cuong District Party Committee affirmed its determination to focus on leading the implementation and completion of targets and tasks as planned and assigned by the province in 2019, aiming to build the district into an ecological urban area.

The Standing Committee and its members of the Con Cuong District Party Committee have determined to continue innovating working methods and procedures, promoting democracy, and upholding a sense of responsibility with the spirit of "daring to act, daring to take responsibility"; accelerating administrative reform; building reasonable and scientific work programs and plans, assigning specific responsibilities, and regularly inspecting and supervising their implementation.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee focus on a deeper analysis of the fundamental tasks and solutions to effectively lead the implementation of key and breakthrough tasks; the Standing Committee as a whole should continue to promote democracy, maintain unity and consensus to focus on leading the successful achievement of the set targets and tasks.

Comrade Le Minh Thong also suggested that the district should focus on accelerating the development of the ecological urban project; exploiting and promoting the strengths and potential of local tourism; paying attention to the lives of the people, especially the poor during the Lunar New Year, and ensuring social security.
