(Baonghean.vn) - After more than 12 hours since approaching the vessel, the Nghe An Border Guard force successfully towed the distressed fishing boat to shore safely and handed over the crew members to their families.

At exactly 4 PM on April 8th, after two days and one night in distress at sea, the fishing vessel NA 95093 TS, captained by Mr. Le Van Hoa (born in 1986, residing in Hamlet 6, Son Hai Commune, Quynh Luu District), was rescued and towed safely ashore by the BP 06-19-01 vessel of the Nghe An Border Guard Command.

As previously reported by Nghe An Newspaper, at 1:07 PM on April 7th, the fishing vessel NA 95093 TS, captained by Mr. Le Van Hoa and carrying 7 crew members, was operating in the sea 55 nautical miles east of Cua Lo. Due to the influence of monsoon winds, with gusts of wind reaching levels 7 and 8, the sea became rough, causing the vessel's engine to malfunction and it to drift at sea. The captain requested urgent rescue assistance.

Upon receiving the information, the Nghe An Border Guard contacted nearby fishing vessels for assistance. Simultaneously, they dispatched a force of 15 officers along with the vessel BP 06-19-01 to the rescue that night.

Due to rough seas and strong winds, it wasn't until 4:00 AM on April 8th that the rescue vessel and Border Guard forces reached the location of the distressed ship, provided food supplies and medical care to the crew members, and towed the fishing vessel back to Lach Quen fishing port.
