Fishing boat and 7 fishermen from Nghe An in distress have safely returned to shore
(Baonghean.vn) - After more than 12 hours since arriving, Nghe An Border Guard force towed the distressed fishing boat safely to shore and handed over the crew members to their families.
At exactly 4:00 p.m. on April 8, after two days and one night of being in distress at sea, fishing boat NA 95093 TS captained by Mr. Le Van Hoa (born in 1986, residing in hamlet 6, Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district) was rescued and safely towed to shore by ship BP 06-19-01 of the Nghe An Border Guard Command.

Previously, as reported by Nghe An Newspaper, at 1:07 p.m. on April 7, fishing boat NA 95093 TS, captained by Mr. Le Van Hoa, with 7 crew members on board, was working in the sea 55 nautical miles east of Cua Lo. Due to the influence of the monsoon, gusts of wind at level 7 and level 8, rough seas, the boat's engine broke down and it drifted at sea. The captain requested emergency rescue.
After receiving the information, Nghe An Border Guard tried to contact fishing boats operating nearby for support. At the same time, they sent a force of 15 comrades and ship BP 06-19-01 to launch a rescue at night.
Due to strong winds and waves, at 4:00 a.m. on April 8, the rescue ship and Border Guard forces were able to reach the location of the distressed ship, provide food and medical care to the crew, and tow the fishing boat back to Lach Quen fishing port.
