Cruise ship carrying 21 people suddenly caught fire in Ha Long Bay

At 6:30 a.m. on January 10, a fire broke out on a tourist boat staying overnight in the Luon Cave area near Titop Island, Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh). At the time of the fire, there were 21 people on board, including 14 foreign tourists.

Accordingly, the overnight ship Anh Duong QN 3598 of Anh Duong 1 Tourism and Trade Company Limited caught fire after staying overnight at Nha Lat, Luon Cave, Titop Island area on the way back to Tuan Chau port.

When the fire was discovered, the authorities were on hand to rescue 14 foreign tourists, 1 tour guide, and 6 crew members and bring them safely to shore. The fire completely destroyed the cabin and deck of the ship.

Immediately after receiving the information, Mr. Vu Van Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, directly went to the scene to direct the rescue work, encouraged tourists and directed the Provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Police to urgently organize fire fighting work and investigate to clarify the cause of the incident.
