Indian train derails, at least 95 killed.
(Baonghean.vn) - At least 95 passengers lost their lives early on November 20 when a Patna-Indore express train derailed near Kanpur, more than 480 km southeast of India's capital, New Delhi.

This information was provided by the police headquarters in Kanpur. Meanwhile, Railway Ministry spokesman Anil Saxena added that the death toll could rise. According to CNN sources, more than 150 passengers were injured, with over 40 in critical condition.
Alarmingly, according to Javeed Ahmed, the head of the local police department in Uttar Pradesh, around 70 passengers may be trapped inside the train carriages.
Earlier, at around 3:00 AM on November 20th (local time), 14 carriages of a 24-car train derailed. The cause of the accident and the total number of passengers and crew on board are still unknown.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his condolences to the families of the victims via Twitter: “It is unspeakable that so many lives have been lost due to the Patna-Indore Express train derailment. My condolences go out to the families of the victims.”
According to officials, senior officials were immediately dispatched to the accident site. The national disaster response force was also activated and quickly arrived at the scene.
