Ba Ria - Vung Tau submarine is about to arrive in Vietnam
The Rolldock Storm transport ship will arrive in Singapore on January 16 to refuel and continue its journey to Cam Ranh to hand over the Ba Ria-Vung Tau submarine to the Vietnam Navy.

According to the maritime information website MarineTraffic, the Rolldock Storm transport ship carrying the Ba Ria-Vung Tau submarine of the Vietnamese Navy passed through the Cape of Good Hope at the southern tip of Africa into the Indian Ocean on January 1.
Previously, this ship departed from St. Petersburg port (Russia) on December 9, 2016, and had traveled for 23 days from the Baltic Sea to the Atlantic Ocean down to the west coast of Africa to enter the Indian Ocean.
The Rolldock Storm will cross the Indian Ocean before entering the Java Sea and arriving in Singapore on January 16 to refuel and continue its journey to Cam Ranh, handing over to the Vietnamese Navy.
Ba Ria-Vung Tau submarine is the 6th and last Kilo 636.1 class diesel-electric submarine built by Russia for Vietnam under a contract signed in late 2009.
The five previous Kilo submarines include: 182 Hanoi (returned home on December 31, 2013), 183 Ho Chi Minh City (March 19, 2014), 184 Hai Phong (January 28, 2015), 185 Khanh Hoa (June 30, 2015) and 186 Da Nang (February 2, 2016).
