Tecno Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro launched: Helio G200 Ultimate chip, ultra-durable IP69K rating.

Tecno has quietly launched a new pair of smartphones in the Camon series: the Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro. Both models boast a modern design, optimized hardware for everyday use, and, notably, a high-resolution camera system integrated with AI technology.

The most noticeable difference in appearance between the two versions lies in the screen. The Tecno Camon 50 Pro features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution. Meanwhile, the standard Camon 50 uses a flat screen design, aimed at users who prioritize a more solid feel and want to minimize accidental touches at the edges.

Both devices support refresh rates up to 144Hz, a superior specification in the mid-range segment, resulting in smoother swiping, touching, and gaming experiences. The screen also integrates an under-display optical fingerprint sensor and a 32MP punch-hole selfie camera.

Performance from the Helio G200 Ultimate chip and a 6,150mAh battery.

Powering this duo is the MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. This configuration focuses on stability, handling multitasking and everyday entertainment well.

Notably, the Camon 50 boasts a massive 6,150mAh battery, significantly larger than the currently common 5,000mAh. It supports 45W wired fast charging, significantly reducing the time it takes to fully recharge the large battery.

Professional 50MP camera system

In terms of photography capabilities, both phones feature a 50MP main camera using a Sony LYT700C sensor (1/1.56-inch size) and support optical image stabilization (OIS). This is complemented by an 8MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture.

The Camon 50 Pro version, in particular, is upgraded with a third camera: a 50MP telephoto lens with an equivalent focal length of 70mm, supporting 3x optical zoom, allowing for sharper portraits and photos of distant objects.

IP69K durability rating and Android 16 operating system.

Another major advantage of the Tecno Camon 50 series is its water and dust resistance, meeting IP69K, IP69, and IP68 standards. The IP69K rating allows the device to withstand high-pressure water jets and high temperatures, providing absolute peace of mind when used in harsh conditions.

In terms of software, the device runs on the HiOS 16 interface based on the Android 16 operating system, and integrates Tecno's AI application suite to optimize the user experience.

Currently, the Tecno Camon 50 has a listed price of 37,500 KES (approximately 7.55 million VND) in the international market. The higher-end version, the Camon 50 Pro, starts at 44,000 KES (approximately 8.86 million VND).
