The striker's goal came in the 33rd minute with a powerful header into the net past goalkeeper Meiga.
With this goal, Dangda has a total of 6 goals in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2016 and has a great chance to win the Golden Boot for the third time in the history of the tournament. Dangda is currently 3 goals ahead of Boaz Solossa (Indonesia) and teammate Sarawut Masuk.
Previously, Dangda had won this individual award twice, in 2008 (4 goals) and 2012 (5 goals).
With his goal against Indonesia, Dangda increased his total number of goals in the history of the AFF Suzuki Cup to 15, thus equaling the goalscoring record of Cong Vinh.
With this achievement, Dangda is only two goals short of the goalscoring record held by former Singapore international Noh Alam Shah.
