Tehran proposed a negotiation process based on a three-stage formula.

According to RIA Novosti, on April 27, the Al Mayadeen television channel recently revealed important information about the Middle East hotspot. Accordingly, Tehran has sent a strategic proposal to Washington through intermediary channels. The focus of the message is that the US-Iran negotiations will be restarted based on a three-stage formula, aimed at comprehensively resolving the current crisis.

Al Mayadeen stated: "Iran has informed the mediators of the three-stage negotiation format. If Washington approves, Tehran will proceed with dialogue within this framework."

Under this initiative, the first phase of negotiations would focus entirely on ending the war. Tehran demanded firm guarantees that the US would abandon further military action against Iran and Lebanon.

If a first-stage agreement is reached, the two sides will move on to the second stage. The core issue will be discussing the mechanism for managing the Strait of Hormuz in the post-war era. This will be coordinated with the Omani government with the goal of "establishing a new legal system."

Moving to phase three, which involves Iran's nuclear program, will be subject to strict conditions. Al Mayadeen television asserted that this step will not be taken unless the two sides reach an agreement in phases one and two.

On April 25, US President Donald Trump announced the cancellation of a delegation's trip to Islamabad, Pakistan, to work with Iran. Later that day, he confirmed that the US had received a new offer from Tehran with more favorable terms. However, Iran initially remained adamant in denying any plans to meet with US officials.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held a telephone conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Pezeshkian firmly stated that his country would not participate in peace talks under pressure, threats, or a maritime blockade.

Earlier, on April 8th, the US and Iran held talks aimed at de-escalating tensions. Both sides agreed to a two-week ceasefire. However, subsequent contacts failed to yield any substantial results.

The US immediately announced a blockade of the enemy's ports. Washington pledged to lift the blockade only when a formal agreement was signed. In response, Tehran closed the Strait of Hormuz and refused all new attempts at communication.

Meanwhile, President Trump has extended the ceasefire. According to the US leader, this will remain in effect until Iran prepares proposals for resolving the conflict and the two delegations officially hold a meeting.
