(Baonghean.vn) - On January 5, a working delegation of the Command of Region 1, Navy inspected combat readiness and visited and presented Tet gifts to the Party Committee, government, army and people on Cat Ba Island (Hai Phong).

This year is the first time new soldier Pham Van Long celebrates Tet at Station 495. Although he has only joined the unit for nearly 2 months, the young soldier born in 1999 has gradually become accustomed to military life, considering this his second home. Long confided: "Like many people, celebrating Tet away from home certainly makes me miss my home and homeland.
