A man died while fishing

(Baonghean.vn)- While rowing a boat together to cast nets in the flooded fields next to Lam River, unfortunately the boat capsized, causing 2 people to be swept away by the floodwaters.

At 3:00 p.m. on October 12, 2017, in Nam Trung commune, Nam Dan district, a tragic drowning case occurred on Lam river.

The victim was Nguyen Duy Nghia (born in 1980), from Hamlet 10, Nam Trung Commune. Before that, Nguyen Duy Nghia and Ho Van Tan (born in 2001) were rowing a boat together to cast nets in a flooded field next to Lam River when unfortunately the boat capsized, causing both of them to be swept away by the floodwaters.

A local resident said: When they saw two people struggling in the raging floodwaters, they called out to each other to rescue them and brought them both to shore. However, only Tan was saved, while Nghia died.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Chairman of Nam Trung Commune People's Committee said: Nghia's family situation is also very difficult, his father died early, his wife separated. Immediately after receiving the information, the commune government visited, encouraged and supported the family with one million VND./.
