Amidst the opposition’s accusations of being “incompetent” and “influenced” by her powerful father Thaksin Shinawatra, Thailand’s youngest female Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has survived a no-confidence vote in the House of Representatives recently. With 319 votes in favor, 162 votes against and 7 abstentions, the voting results showed that the ruling coalition led by the Pheu Thai Party continued to show solidarity and high support for the 38-year-old female Prime Minister.
