Thai Hoa plays a tycoon who is enough to make the audience hate him. The character started from nothing, working hard step by step to achieve success. The actor has many choices and is meticulous in choosing scripts. However, he chose to participate in the project because he found the script to be passionate and profound.

"My role has many changes, a wrong lifestyle, wrong views, but the final message of the film is still about happiness and family values. I like that!", Thai Hoa shared.

In 2019, Thai Hoa lost his inspiration and direction in his career. The actor could not confide in anyone, keeping it to himself led to depression. He was under a lot of stress because he found himself having many problems that were difficult to solve.

The actor chose to withdraw, not wanting to meet or interact with anyone. When his emotions hit rock bottom, he picked himself up, looking for joy and a new direction.

“I realized that no one is wrong, and I am not bad. I like nothing but movies, and then I tried to stabilize everything. At this stage, I work with a comfortable and happy mindset,” he said.

According to Thai Hoa, each role, project or director he collaborates with gives him a different experience. Most importantly, he feels he can freely create, work with a light heart, and enjoy it.

Despite winning many prestigious awards, Thai Hoa does not put too much emphasis on fame or achievements. The actor frankly wants the audience not to remember the name Thai Hoa but to remember the roles he plays.

For an actor, the greatest joy in his career is playing a role well. This is more meaningful and important than anything else.

More than 10 years, the couple's feelings have not changed

Accompanying Thai Hoa in big and small events is his current wife - who is 11 years younger than him. The actor feels lucky to have a supportive wife, a solid support system so he can focus on filming without having to worry.

“Sometimes my wife even changes the water pipes and light bulbs in the house herself. That allows me to focus on the script and devote all my energy to the film. It is not easy for a wife to understand her husband’s work like that,” he said.

After more than 10 years together, their feelings are still the same as the beginning. Thai Hoa has 2 children, the older one Bom (Thai Hoa and Cat Phuong's child - PV) is in college, the youngest is in 5th grade. Both are understanding and independent, which makes the couple very secure.

How do you compensate your wife and children for the days you were absent from home?Thai Hoa said that after each project, he will return to his role as a husband and father in the family.

The actor often takes people on short trips, eats, exercises with his wife, and takes his children to school. For him, every small, simple task is a bond that strengthens family ties.

The actor also maintains the habit of playing games, taking care of dogs, building legos, watching movies, eating regardless of the time... For him, this is a way to relax, allowing him to rest to regain balance after each project.

“I never keep my salary and give it all to my wife. The one who takes care of the economy is the one who has the pressure. When I go out, I never need money because my wife takes care of that. I only care about the big things, which is earning money for my wife so she can take care of the little things,” he said.

Regarding his current life, Thai Hoa feels fulfilled and satisfied. According to him, his artistic work is not too rich but enough to live on. The actor himself does not have great needs or expenses, so he only hopes for enough, as long as his family is happy, that is good.

For many years now, Thai Hoa and his family have had a rather simple habit of celebrating Tet. He doesn’t plan or buy much, but wants to enjoy the comfort after a year of working at full capacity.

However, he still bought a few things to have a “spring atmosphere”. In the days before Tet, the actor repainted the house, placed some flower pots, and set up an offering tray for his ancestors… He planned to take his wife and children for a ride around the city, then had to return to work.

The actor revealed that he is currently in a weight loss phase, fasting every day from morning to 6pm. He also has to exercise, walk, and do pull-ups to get into shape according to the requirements of director Bui Thac Chuyen for a new film project at the beginning of the year.

“The promise to take my wife on a trip will probably have to be postponed until after Tet. From the 4th, I will start filming, which will be the beginning of a busy year,” the actor joked.
