Thai Hoa held a ceremony to report achievements and commemorate the 10th anniversary of the town's establishment.
(Baonghean.vn) - To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Thai Hoa town (May 10, 2008 - May 10, 2018), on the morning of May 2nd, a delegation of leaders from the Town Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee, along with representatives from various departments, organizations, armed forces, and a large number of local people and relatives of martyrs' families in the area, offered incense and flowers at Martyrs' Cemetery No. 1 and No. 2.

Over the past 10 years of development and growth, the Party Committee, people, and armed forces of Thai Hoa town have united as one, striving to overcome all difficulties, focusing resources on socio-economic development, and maintaining political security and social order in the area.
The economic growth rate during this period (calculated in terms of added value) reached 7.8%. The value of production in 2008 was 1,350 billion VND, and by 2017 it had reached 4,467 billion VND, a 3.3-fold increase.
The economic structure is shifting in a positive direction, in line with the potential and advantages of the locality, with the Industry and Service sectors increasingly accounting for a higher proportion of the town's economic structure.
Total social investment increased sharply from 280 billion VND in 2008 to 1,839 billion VND in 2017, a 6.6-fold increase. The average growth rate during this period reached 23.2%.
Average per capita income increased from 14 million VND in 2008 to 37 million VND in 2017, a 2.64-fold increase, with an average growth rate of 11.4%.
The poverty rate decreased rapidly, from 9.1% in 2008 (according to the old standard) to 2.2% (according to the new standard) in 2017, the second lowest in the entire province.
Socio-economic infrastructure in the town is receiving increasing investment for construction and upgrading. Many new transportation routes have been opened, and rural and urban transportation is developing rapidly, making it a bright spot in the province for new rural development.

Before the spirits of the heroic martyrs, the delegation expressed their profound respect and gratitude for the sacrifices of the heroes and martyrs for the cause of national liberation, and pledged to unite and overcome all difficulties to successfully carry out the tasks of socio-economic development, national defense and security in the town.
After laying flowers and offering incense at the two martyrs' cemeteries, the delegation went to offer incense and report their achievements to President Ho Chi Minh at the Memorial House commemorating President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Dong Hieu Farm and the memorial plaque listing the 10 martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the grounds of Dong Hieu commune headquarters.
