The 2025 spring rice crop in Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district, covering over 200 hectares, belonging to ThaiBinh Seed Group, shows that the TBR 97 rice variety not only yields high productivity, has heavy panicles, and strong stems, but also ripens early. Farmers are excited to visit the fields and are delighted that this rice variety, planted here for the second year, has proven its effectiveness.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen, an agricultural officer in Hung Tay commune, said: "Since planting TBR 97, people in the hamlets haven't had to spray pesticides because the rice plants show no signs of pests or diseases, proving that the rice variety is disease-free, safe, and produces fragrant and delicious rice."

In 2024, after conducting trial plantings in the spring and seeing high yields, Hung Tay commune registered this rice variety on a very large scale this year, with companies guaranteeing the purchase of the product. Not only in Hung Tay commune (Hung Nguyen district), but also in Nghia Dong commune (Tan Ky district), and in Dien Chau and Quynh Luu districts (Nghe An province), ThaiBinh Seed's rice varieties are strong, resistant to strong winds, and do not require the use of harmful pesticides. This is the result of the tireless research of the scientists at this corporation.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, head of Nghia Dong Agricultural Cooperative (Tan Ky), also stated that in recent years, Nghia Dong has cultivated rice varieties from ThaiBinh Seed Group, yielding stable productivity. The area registered by farmers is increasing, and the selling price is 10% higher than that of conventional rice varieties. In particular, this year's TBR97 rice variety, planted on 200 hectares, achieved high yields.

Application of high technology in processing

The company has invested in a processing plant and cold storage system that meets international standards, featuring automated production lines to save water and energy, and reduce waste. The closed-loop production process helps maintain the natural flavor of the rice and minimizes the use of chemicals.

Modern drying and milling technologies are also integrated to reduce fuel consumption and minimize environmental emissions. Currently, ThaiBinh Seed is capable of supplying high-quality seeds and rice to many provinces and cities nationwide.

As a key effort in digital transformation, ThaiBinh Seed has applied various management software to its production, business, and product traceability systems, increasing transparency, reducing paperwork costs, and optimizing processes. Simultaneously, the company has also utilized unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) for seed sowing and pesticide spraying, saving time and minimizing chemical overuse.

In rice cultivation processes, projects using microorganisms and SRI (System of Rice Intensification) help reduce emissions by up to 12.5% ​​and increase productivity by up to 26%.
