(Baonghean.vn) - Upon arriving in Thai Son commune (Do Luong district), everyone is impressed by the beauty of Long Thai communal house, an ancient communal house with a history of hundreds of years and recognized as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic.
| Long Thai Temple is located in a high and dry position. It is associated with the legend of King Lê Trang Tông - a king of the Later Lê Dynasty who made many contributions to the country. Folklore also recounts the story of a woman fleeing war who sought refuge in Vĩnh Long village (now Long Thái village) in Bạch Hà district (present-day Đô Lương) while pregnant. She was taken in by the villagers and after some time gave birth to a son, whom they named Le Ninh. |
| Growing up, Le Ninh was sent to Laos by a former official to recruit soldiers and fulfill his ambition of reviving the Le dynasty, taking the title Trang Tong.Le Trang Tong reigned for 16 years (1533-1548) and died at the age of 34. The people of Vinh Long village chose a high, dry spot to the south of the village to build a shrine, which was later expanded and transformed into a large communal house. They revered him as the village's guardian deity and held ceremonies there on festivals and holidays. |
| Before the revolution, Long Thai communal house was a secret operational base for the Party branch, and also witnessed the officials of the old regime handing over their seals to the revolutionary government on the day of the general uprising.Having survived two wars, Long Thai communal house fell into disrepair and was recently restored. The basic architecture of the communal house still retains its ancient and sacred appearance, with intricately carved and harmoniously arranged mythical creatures. It showcases the talent and skill of the craftsmen's hands. |
| The curved roof of the communal house creates a sense of softness and grace, exuding the ancient beauty of a village in Nghe An province. |

Every year, the local people organize festivals steeped in tradition, such as the Spring Festival, longevity celebrations, and prayers for blessings. The most important of these is the Spring Festival at the beginning of the first lunar month, a time for people to express their hopes for favorable weather, abundant harvests, and peaceful villages during the Lunar New Year.
