The building has an area of 784 square meters.2The complex consists of a main building dedicated to commemorating President Ho Chi Minh and two auxiliary buildings containing a bell and a stele recording the main aspects of President Ho Chi Minh's life and career. Positioned majestically in the center of the worship hall is a full-body bronze statue of him, weighing nearly 1 ton; above it is his immortal quote: "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom." Behind the statue of President Ho Chi Minh on the main altar is his immortal quote.
Inside the Memorial House are eight glass display cases showcasing 64 photographs and handwritten notes of President Ho Chi Minh from his childhood, hometown, family, and revolutionary activities. According to Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Trong Tham, Deputy Commander of the Truong Sa Island Military Command, since its completion, the Memorial House has welcomed tens of thousands of visitors. It has also become a familiar spiritual destination for the military and civilians of Truong Sa Island.
The Ho Chi Minh Memorial Area is located right in the center of Truong Sa Lon Island. The image of President Ho Chi Minh has long been a source of motivation and strength for the soldiers determined to guard the seas and skies of the Fatherland.
The plaque commemorating President Ho Chi Minh's life and career is located within the grounds of the Memorial House.
Most of the houses are painted a striking red. The surrounding area is covered with lush green trees such as Terminalia catappa, Terminalia japonica, and other species.
The soldiers are on guard duty at the Memorial House.
Captain Hoang Van Vy (Nghi Duc commune, Vinh City, Nghe An province), on his way to Da Dong island to receive his assignment, stopped by Truong Sa Lon island to offer incense to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh.
On important occasions like National Day, President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, or every holiday, people gather here to light incense and pay their respects to him. Whenever soldiers achieve a victory, they come here to report their accomplishments, living up to President Ho Chi Minh's advice during his visit to the Navy in 1961: "Before, we only had night and forests; today we have day, sky, and sea. Our coastline is long and beautiful; we must know how to preserve it."
For many years, the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House has served as a place for educating the military and civilians living and working on the island about revolutionary traditions.
