Taking advantage of his position as Director of Company 2 in Lang Son, Tuan Anh fabricated documents to claim compensation from the state budget, embezzling over 1.2 billion VND.

The Investigation Department of the Ministry of Public Security has initiated criminal proceedings and temporarily detained Nguyen Tuan Anh, 55 years old, residing in Phuc Xa ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, former Director of Lang Son Automobile Transport Joint Stock Company No. 2 (Lang Son Company No. 2), on charges of "embezzlement of assets" to facilitate the investigation of the case.

According to complaints from employees of Company 2 Lang Son, from 2001 to 2012, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, taking advantage of his position as Director of Company 2 Lang Son, fabricated documents to claim compensation from the state budget for the project to expand the headquarters of the Lang Son Provincial Customs Department.

Nguyen Tuan Anh signed two contracts on November 25, 2011 and March 16, 2012 with Truong Phat Development Trading and Service Joint Stock Company (Truong Phat Company) to transfer over 1.2 billion VND from the account of Company 2 Lang Son to the account of Truong Phat Company. He then transferred this money to several of Nguyen Tuan Anh's family companies for personal use.
