Be careful with information on social networks

Nowadays, social networking sites such as Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, etc. are developing rapidly and have become “an essential part of life”. From officials to workers, from the mountains to the plains, from rural to urban areas, from old men and women to children, “everyone goes online” - everyone has access tosocial networkAt different levels, some people have several accounts on social networks. Each person has time to work, time to sleep, time to rest, but social networks are constantly a “24/7 information highway”, never stopping.

People go online to find information, communicate, connect with friends, promote products, do charity work and many other useful jobs. Each person chooses for themselves their favorite and suitable websites. It is precious that there are scholars, intellectuals, officials, journalists, doctors, etc. They are knowledgeable, cautious, and speak accurately, and through their websites, provide society with very useful information. Many people have the habit of going to these websites to learn and confirm whenever there is "hot" information. Many people spend a lot of time online every day and social networks have become an indispensable means, a close and useful "friend".

However, on social networks, besides the positive side, there are many people and a lot of information that is only for the purpose of attracting likes and views. Sensational, "hot" clips and articles such as: Just discovered the "earth-shattering story" of a corrupt official; the truth about this man's backyard, discovered the huge assets of that woman; how this group is operating underground; how that group is "about to be put in jail",... are all as real as they seem. Usually, these are pages and groups that are not transparent about personal information, do not use real names, have unclear addresses; many pages of reactionary subjects from abroad; there are disguised pages of disgruntled, reactionary, saboteurs,... There is a lot of false, fabricated information that has a bad, negative impact on public opinion. What is noteworthy is that this "shocking" information, which causes "curiosity", often spreads through the "crowd" effect, with many people coming to see, read, comment, curse, etc. This unintentionally creates a wave of public opinion, following the scheme of the spreader.

Normally, you can recognize some news, articles, and clips of this type on social networks:

- Taking advantage of violations of officials who have been disciplined by the Party, the State, and the law, reported through the media in the recent past, to "generalize", causing public opinion to misunderstand, to see only the dark side, not the bright side, to see only the negative, not the positive side of the policies, guidelines, and nature of our regime.

- Articles and clips that tend to distort anddistort history, distorting the truth about famous people and high-ranking leaders, denying our nation's tradition of fighting to build and defend the country.

- Stirring up and "retouching" old information to attract likes and views, to increase page interaction, but creating confusion and frustration among the public,...

- Untrue information, blaming officials, authorities and governments at all levels, attracting and inciting negative and offensive comments on social networks.

- Use your account to insert into someone else's accountscam advertising, lending "black credit"; publicly selling counterfeit documents and money; defrauding and appropriating money and assets, inviting people to participate in games, giving gifts, defrauding people into transferring money to place orders and then embezzling, locking accounts,... of gullible and inexperienced people.

These tricks are not new, the media and authorities have warned and dealt with them many times, but in cyberspace there are many inexperienced people, so many people still fall into the trap. Many people cannot distinguish right from wrong, do not understand the source, just find something "interesting" and share and comment. Also because they do not understand the nature of the matter, the comments often follow the majority, even being vulgar and anti-cultural. All of these actions, whether intentional or unintentional, promote wrongdoing and violations of the law in cyberspace.

Every social network member, especially cadres and party members, needs to be extremely alert and cautious with information on social networks, especially on major anniversaries, when there are sensitive events, "hot" and "sensational" information, so as not to unintentionally lend a hand to elements who deliberately distort and sabotage discontented and hostile forces, deliberately destroying the peaceful life of the people.
