In March, the consumer price index (CPI) in Nghe An province decreased by 0.44%.
The decrease in gasoline and diesel prices, following adjustments by Petrolimex Group, and the decrease in food prices are the main reasons for the 0.44% drop in the consumer price index (CPI) in March 2025 compared to the previous month.
According to the Nghe An Provincial Statistics Office, the consumer price index in Nghe An in March 2025 decreased by 0.44% compared to the previous month, but increased by 1.29% compared to the same period in 2024.
Six out of eleven groups of goods and services saw a decrease in price index compared to the previous month: Transportation decreased by 1.47%; Food and catering services decreased by 0.7%; Housing, electricity, water and construction materials decreased by 0.2%; Culture, entertainment and tourism decreased by 0.09%; Postal and telecommunications services, and other goods and services decreased by 0.01%.
Three out of eleven groups of goods and services saw price increases compared to the previous month: Beverages and tobacco; Household equipment and appliances (up 0.11%); Clothing, hats, and footwear (up 0.04%).
Two out of eleven groups of goods and services had stable price indices compared to the previous month: Education; and Medicines and medical services.

On average, the consumer price index (CPI) increased by 1.94% in the first three months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Eight out of eleven commodity groups increased: Medicines and medical services (up 13.35%); Other goods and services (up 6.86%); Housing, electricity, water and construction materials (up 3.65%); Food and catering services (up 2.38%); Culture, entertainment and tourism (up 1.12%); Clothing, hats, and footwear (up 0.89%); Household equipment and appliances (up 0.85%); Beverages and tobacco (up 0.67%). Three out of eleven commodity groups decreased: Transportation (down 4.23%); Education (down 0.85%); and Postal and telecommunications services (down 0.54%).

The gold price index in March 2025 increased by 4.75% compared to the previous month and by 40.32% compared to the same period last year. The average for the first three months of 2025 increased by 47.98% compared to the same period last year. Domestic gold prices fluctuated in line with world gold prices.
The US dollar index in March 2025 increased by 0.13% compared to the previous month and by 1.7% year-on-year. The average for the first three months of 2025 increased by 2.74% year-on-year.
