In the first month of the year, Nghe An attracted a 47.5% increase in investment capital, reaching over 3,200 billion VND.
The majority of this investment capital comes from projects with increased capital adjustments. This demonstrates investors' confidence in the province's investment and business environment.
On the afternoon of February 5th, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held its regular monthly meeting for January 2025. Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - presided over and conducted the meeting.

Co-chairing the meeting were comrades: Bui Thanh An - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Attending the working session were leaders of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, and the provincial departments and agencies.
As of January 23, 2025, Nghe An province had granted new licenses (investment approval/investment registration certificates) for 1 project with a total investment of VND 100.1 billion; and adjusted 12 projects, including capital adjustments for 3 projects, with a total investment increase of VND 3,123.4 billion. Projects with significant capital adjustments include: the Nghe An Waste-to-Energy Plant in Nghi Yen commune, Nghi Loc district, owned by Galax JSC, with a total investment increase of VND 2,928.8 billion; and the shoe and sandal manufacturing and processing plant for export in WHA Industrial Park, owned by Cypress Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd., with an increase of USD 7.8 million (equivalent to VND 189.5 billion).
Thus, the total newly registered and increased investment capital amounted to VND 3,223.5 billion, a 47.5% increase compared to the same period last year.

Previously, in 2024, the province granted licenses to 88 new projects with a total registered investment capital of VND 43,919.7 billion; and adjusted 188 projects, including 45 projects with adjusted total investment capital, resulting in a total increase of VND 22,962.6 billion.
The total newly registered and adjusted capital in 2024 was VND 66,882.3 billion, 1.15 times higher than the same period in 2023. Of this, FDI attracted reached nearly USD 1.75 billion, the highest ever, and for the third consecutive year, the company has been in the top 10 nationwide in attracting FDI.
