Thanh Bui's achievements stem from his serious work ethic since childhood. As the eldest child of an Asian immigrant family, he believed he had to work much harder than the native-born. As a child, he used to help his parents sew jeans at home.

In his youth, Thanh Bui was very skilled at helping his friends with their studies. He easily became a self-taught music teacher. The number of students was so large that Thanh Bui became exhausted from teaching. An older sister advised him: "You don't need to do a lot, you need to do it intelligently." "I want to stay in Vietnam for the rest of my life, and my children won't be going anywhere either," the musician said. Having previously flatly refused numerous offers from children's reality TV shows, Thanh Bui has gained more motivation to participate in educational programs for children since becoming a father. He recently returned as a judge in the Wonderkids music competition, a program invested in and produced by his company. "No contestants will be eliminated in this competition," he said.

Thanh Bui and Tran Tien will both serve as judges in the "Musical Prodigy" competition for children.

His work keeps the father of two constantly traveling both domestically and internationally. Most recently, he was away for nearly two months on the Eisenhower Fellowship program in the US. During his trip from the East Coast to the West Coast, visiting 20 cities, Thanh Bui met former US Secretary of State Colin Powell, conductor Gustavo Dudamel, and Bob James – a veteran jazz musician, composer, and music producer with multiple Grammy awards. He also met with arts education experts from Harvard University and non-governmental organizations such as El Sistema – a community-based music education program in Venezuela where underprivileged children receive free music education to develop and improve themselves.

Despite his busy CEO role, Thanh Bui hasn't forgotten his inspiring work as an artist. He recently participated in the "My Beloved City" program, performing for two consecutive nights at an outdoor stage, offering free entertainment to the people of Saigon. Prior to that, his music video "Just Keep Dreaming" was released, as a spiritual gift he dedicated to his audience and himself.

"Sometimes life gets so hard that people forget to dream. But no dream is too small. Sometimes you need to allow yourself to dare to fail in order to live your dream," he said.
