Thanh Chuong elects new Chairman of the District People's Committee.

On the afternoon of August 17th, the Thanh Chuong District People's Council, 19th term, 2016-2021, held its 13th session to consolidate positions following the 31st District Party Congress, 2020-2025 term.

The delegates presented flowers to congratulate the newly elected comrades.

The session voted to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Huu Vinh from the position of Chairman of the District People's Council, 19th term, 2016-2021, due to retirement; to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Head of the Finance Department, from the position of Member of the District People's Committee, 2016-2021 term; to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Van Que from the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee, 2016-2021 term; to dismiss Ms. Le Thi Hong Thiet from the position of Vice Chairman of the District People's Council, 19th term; to dismiss Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Nga from the position of Head of the Economic and Social Affairs Committee due to taking on new duties; and to dismiss Mr. Tran Dinh Loan from the position of Head of the Legal Affairs Committee of the District People's Council, due to retirement.

The session also elected Comrade Trinh Van Nha - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term - to the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term; elected Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Nga to the position of Vice Chairman of the District People's Council, 19th term; elected Comrade Nguyen Van Thang - member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District Party Committee's Inspection Committee - to the position of Head of the Economic and Social Affairs Committee; and elected Ms. Le Thi Hong Thiet - member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department - Director of the District Political Center - to the position of Head of the Legal Affairs Committee of the District People's Council.

On behalf of the comrades retiring under the retirement scheme, Mr. Nguyen Huu Vinh - former Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Council - expressed gratitude for the attention and assistance from all levels and sectors, and the enthusiastic support of the people in the area, which enabled the comrades to successfully complete their tasks in the past. The former Secretary of the Thanh Chuong District Party Committee congratulated and hoped that the comrades elected to new positions would always strive to successfully fulfill the tasks entrusted to them by the Party and the people.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Trinh Van Nha thanked the delegates for their trust and affirmed that he would always maintain his political integrity, cultivate moral qualities and lifestyle, inherit and promote the spirit of unity and creativity, and successfully complete the tasks set forth in the Resolution of the 31st District Party Congress; making Thanh Chuong a prosperous district of the province and hoping to receive more attention from all levels and sectors and the consensus of the people in the area to contribute to building a more developed homeland.
